Living Single in a Couple's Town © Copyright 2010
Tuesdays, 11/09/2010
Come celebrate the joys of being single. We will celebrate our lives in beautiful and profound ways. We will discover the gifts that we as single people give to the world.
Many times singles experience pressure from family, friends, church/religious institutions, or society to “hurry up and find someone.” Somewhere along the way, we were convinced that being single is not okay. That we aren’t enough on our own. So we have dated people that didn’t match our desires or possibly married someone just to not be alone. In the end, that may have made us feel lonelier than when we were single.
I invite you to bring those life experiences and come, celebrate what is so fabulous about being single. Explore ways to overcome the pressure to couple-up and get comfortable with who we are as individuals. The gift of singlehood provides many opportunities. What are yours? How do you take full advantage of them?
In this class we will explore:
• The gifts of being single
• How to experience a full life alone but not lonely
• How to be true to yourself when you choose to date
• Ways to practice loving kindness to yourself and others
